command patchVT-35 Stingrays // Training Air Wing Four

Welcome to Training Squadron (VT) 35

Home of the Stinging Stingrays!

Training Squadron THIRTY-FIVE (VT-35) flies the T-44C "Pegasus" and is one of two advanced multi-engine training squadrons responsible for providing naval aviators to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. After completion of their prescribed syllabus, Student Naval Aviators are assigned to fly the U.S. Navy P-8 Poseidon, EP-3 Aries or the U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey. Training focuses on advanced instrument flight, formation flying, overwater navigation, and low level tactical formation/navigation. Upon completion of the program, these aviators are awarded their "Wings of Gold" warfare designator. The squadron executes more than 14,000 flight hours annually, encompassing over 52,000 landings and nearly 9,500 student flight training events.

A message for Student Naval Aviators

Congratulations on reaching your final portion of Naval flight training. You will find that the Stinging Stingrays have a welcoming culture with outstanding instructors whose primary focus is teaching, not evaluation. We are committed to helping you earn wings through your hard work and continued professionalism.
